comissions

This was one of my first commisions and it taught me how to work with clients and to set boundaries on going back and fourth, and being clear on payment. It was also very interesting to learn the elements of tattoo design, having to consider curvature as it was a large design to be placed in the convex area of the chest. 

Doll is a commission by Clara K., an indie singer who wanted a painted album cover for her up-and-coming song. She wanted to have multimedia elements that included her hand sewing the doll so I proposed real embroidery thread and needle that can be held to incorporate her actual hand into the album cover. She also wanted a very painterly texture which I created with thick strokes of paint.

Dear Teen me was a commission by Shay Pearl. She commissioned the anchor drawing and book cover design for her up-and-coming book, Dear Teen Me. She wanted to capture the stability and peacefulness of the anchor which I conveyed with a strong and rigid design and the anchor sitting firmly in a rock, a nod to the sword in the stone.
